PU Prime copy trading: the exact settings

Four steps in the PU Prime client portal, about five minutes, done once. This page gives the settings to enter rather than describing them, so you can keep it open in a second tab while you do it.

  1. 1

Open a PU Prime account through our link

Register below so the account is recorded as introduced by us from the start. Already a PU Prime client? You do not need a second account, request an affiliate transfer instead.

    Register with PU Prime
  2. 2

Open a copy-trading account inside the portal

Log in, go to Accounts, choose Open Account, select Live Account, then pick Copy Trading as the platform. This is a separate account from a standard trading account, which is why the option is under Open Account rather than in your existing one.

    Open the client portal
  3. 3

    Find the strategy

In the portal open Copy Trading, then Discover. Search for copypit and choose CopyPit Systematic or CopyPit Scalper. You can run both; they are separate and neither knows about the other.

  4. 4

    Enter these settings, then Submit

    Copy mode
    Equivalent Used Margin
    Investment
    Your choice, $100 minimum
    Multiplier
    1.0, maximum 3.0
    Stop loss
    95%
    Take profit
    Off
    Lot round-up
    Off
    Copy opened trades
    Off

That is the whole setup. From the next trade the strategy takes, your account takes it too, at the size you set. Pause or stop from the same screen whenever you want.

Why those settings

Copy mode: Equivalent Used Margin

PU Prime offers three copy modes. In Equivalent Used Margin the volume copied onto your account is based on the margin level, so it scales to your balance. Fixed Lots copies a lot size you set, the same on every trade. Fixed Multiples copies a set multiple of the strategy’s own order size.

Multiplier 1.0

One means you take the same proportional risk as the strategy, which is what the published record describes. Three is the ceiling we recommend, not a target: risk and drawdown scale with it, and past that point the margin maths turns a normal losing stretch into a blown account.

Copy opened trades: Off

On, you join the strategy’s already-open trades whenever you add funds, and those orders fill at the current market price rather than the one the strategy got. Off waits for the next fresh signal, so your entries line up with the record from the start.

Take profit: Off

The strategies manage their own exits. A take profit set at the copy layer closes your side early and leaves the strategy still in the trade, so your result stops tracking the record you chose.

Lot round-up: Off

Lot round-up raises a copied trade to the broker’s minimum lot when your share would fall below it. On, you take every trade the strategy takes; off, a trade too small to place is skipped. On a small account that is the difference between following the record and following part of it, and it cuts both ways, because rounding up also means taking more size than your balance strictly called for.

The $100 minimum

PU Prime allows copying from USD 25. The $100 here is our own threshold, set per strategy, and it exists because below it the position sizes get small enough that rounding decides your result more than the strategy does.

Before you start

Read the record first. Both strategies publish a live account you can open without asking us for anything, and the losing months are in there.
